Community Meal Program Distribution Expands to District 4 Area

Santa Fe County and the City of Santa Fe in partnership with the World Central Kitchen, Santa Fe Community College, local chefs, Salvation Army, YouthWorks, and Street Food Institute have expanded meal distribution to the District 4 area. Meals are free of charge and will begin this Thursday, May 21, 2020, and will continue on each Thursday until further notice.

“The County is grateful to be able to serve the residents of Santa Fe by working closely with our amazing partners. Everyone is doing their best to fight COVID-19 and having the opportunity to provide free meals using fresh locally sourced produce, provides a little relief,” said Senior Planner, Lucy Foma. “The most inspiring take-away is that we are a strong and resilient community.”

The County’s meal distribution location for the District 4 area is the Glorieta Fire District Station No. 2. Location and hours of operation are as follows:

Thursday

Glorieta/La Cueva/Cañada de los Alamos (NEW)

Glorieta Fire District Station No. 2

366 Old Denver Highway, Glorieta

3:00-4:30 p.m.

Meal distribution will comply with all social distancing guidelines issued by the State and there are no qualifications for the free meals or questions asked. Santa Fe County continues to work to promote the health and safety of our residents, and for additional information about the meal distribution, contact Lucy Foma at lfomo@santafecountynm.gov or 505-995-2735.
